  • We believe in the importance of play as a valuable learning tool for young children and we aim to provide a safe, caring and enjoyable environment, which promotes and provides for all areas of a child's development.
  • We use the Aistear and Siolta curriculum frameworks and we offer wide and varied play-based activities including arts and crafts, music and dance, story telling, dressing up, play dough, sand and water play, outdoor play and nature.  Colours, shapes and numbers are another aspect of our curriculum.
  • Our themes/topics are based on the emerging curriculum building on the children's interests and include the seasons, weather, water, animals, health and nutrition, hygiene, emotions, senses, transport and occupations to name but a few. We are a member of Early Childhood Ireland, and we are inspected by Tusla, The Department of Education and the Health Service Executive.

  • Playschool acts as a stepping-stone from the home environment to National School - “Play is children's work.”Our playschool provides child-centered education for each child to develop important skills, while ensuring that each child is given individual attention for his/her needs.
  • Parents can now avail of a free playschool place in our setting through the ECCE scheme and we also have the subvention scheme in place.
